FAQ

What version of Windows Media Player do I need?
I am using AOL and I cannot see any videos
I am using a Mac - what do I have to do to listen/watch?
I put in my username & password and nothing happens

1. What version of Windows Media Player do I need?: You should use the latest version of Windows Media Player. Currently you can either use version 10 or the Beta version 11. You can download the latest version for free by going to: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmedia

2. I am using AOL and I cannot see any videos

Make sure you are using Internet Explorer and not AOL’s built in browser. To use Internet Explorer go to your Start Menu --> Run --> and then type: iexplore
Once Internet Explorer opens go to www.colgateathletics.com and click on Colgate All-Access to login.
If that doesn’t work just make sure you have the latest version of Windows Media Player. Currently you can either use version 10 or the Beta version 11. You can download the latest version for free by going to: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmedia

3. I am using a Mac - what do I have to do to listen/watch?

Microsoft no longer supports the Windows Media Player for Macs... However, they teamed up with a software solution (Flip4Mac) that allows you to stream windows media files from QuickTime player... Here is what you need to do:

Download Flip 4 Mac for free by going to: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/wmcomponents.mspx

After installng Flip 4 Mac be sure you are using the Safari Web Browser (not firefox or Internet Explorer).
If you are having problems with Flip 4 Mac looping, please do the following:
- Under the Apple icon, go to System Preferences and click on Filp4Mac WMV.
- Click on the Movie tab.
- Make sure the box that says Create Streaming Movies is NOT selected.

4. I put in my username & password and nothing happens: Make sure you have cookies enabled on your browser. To do this using Internet Explorer go to the Tools Menu --> Internet Options. Inside Internet Options click on the "privacy" tab. Click on the Advanced button. Be sure you are accepting First Party Cookies and session cookies (or you can add summs.internetconsult.com to the allowed list).
